Rui Borges Cunha, Head of Division at the Municipality of Leiria. Rui Cunha holds a Master degree in Leisure and Local Development, from the University of Coimbra, with the dissertation “Hábitos e Práticas Culturais dos Estudantes da Escola Secundária da Batalha” [“Habits and Cultural Practices of Secondary School Students in Batalha”], with the final grade of Very Good. He has published and presented on the themes of contemporary leisure, active tourism, and new trends in tourism and about accessibility in cultural spaces. On this topic, he has collaborated in projects related to the implementation of accessibility in cultural sites, namely at the Museu da Comunidade Concelhia da Batalha, elected the best Portuguese museum, in 2012; and winner of the European Kenneth Hudson Award, at the European Forum of Museums, in 2013. He has extensive experience in the submission of applications and the ongoing monitoring of the physical and financial execution of European funds, in areas such as Tourism, Cultural Programming, Heritage, Environment, the implementation of Wi-Fi networks, among others. Rui Cunha was invited to join the European FAROTIC (POCTEP) network team of experts, focusing on the creation of innovative high quality products for the business sector, through Fintech, cybersecurity and big data technologies.He has taught at University level in areas related to Process Innovation, Marketing and Advertising. He is the author of the children's books “Mosteiro da Batalha - 40 curiosidades sobre o monumento", "O Convento de Santa Maria da Vitória. A vivência dos Frades Dominicanos" and is co-author of the publication "Vitória: a romana que viveu na Batalha".
